Regarding the fact that more then 33% of Teachers in Europe are aged 50 and beyond (2 million teachers) the EC has published a handbook for policymakers to address the problem teachers drop out and raise teacher qualification. Main target is to improve informal and formal induction programs in Member States to help teachers in their personal, social and professional dimension.
