EC Report on the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights

Education is mentioned in 2 way's, inclusion of Roma & gender equality in education.
The biggest issues in fundamental rights according to the report are:
1. Data protection
2. Access to justice
3. Integration of the Roma
4. Promoting equality (between women and men and the disabled)

It is the first report after the EC adopted its strategy towards the Charter October 2010.

The report didn't get much press attention. In a reaction of EuroChild they call for:
  1. A more in-depth and broader analysis of children’s rights in future Reports,
  2. A comprehensive strategy on children’s rights, and
  3. An EU framework for effective implementation of the rights of the child.
