Inclusive and Supportive Education Congress 2010 (ISEC), August 2-5
This year ISEC (
http://www.isec2010.org/Default.aspx) will take place
at Queen's University Belfast. The conference is aimed at academics,
practitioners and policy-makers interested in promoting inclusive
education worldwide.
This years topics are diversity; inclusive practice; debates on
evidence-informed policy and effective evaluation; children's rights;
voice and participation in education and collaboration, sharing and
capacity-building to promote inclusion.
The Agency will be represented at ISEC with an exhibition of its
newest resources and poster sessions of both the Higher Education
Accessibility Guide and the Inclusive Education in Action project.
Under the conference theme Debates in evidence-informed policy and
effective evaluation the Agency will also hold the workshop What
sort of information really seems to help policy makers in their
decision making? In this workshop the Agency will share the
experience gained working with 28 member and 2 observer European
countries during the 13 years of Agency operations and discuss key
factors that seem to be important for policy-makers' considerations
of information generated via research.
