The program has reached now a target of 3 million students whoe have used the program since 1987. The three most popular destinations are Spain, France & United Kingdom. Spain sent the largest number of students abroad, followed France and Germany.

In 2009-2010 213.00 European students used a grant to study abroad, a record and 7,4% increase on the previous years figure.
